Chicago Cubs Season Opener Today

Today the entire city is in full excitement mode. And to no surprise! The city’s beloved Chicago Cubs threw the first pitch of the year in 2012. Offices all over Chicago are celebrating their Cubbies’ appearance on the television screens across Illinois as they anxiously await the Easter weekend.

Chicago Limo Cubs in Chicago

Sitting through work today was perhaps the most difficult challenge all year. Almost the entire office was in “chit-chat”, talking about topics ranging from Chicago Limo experiences in Chicago, to summer and spring sports, to love flicks, and random facts. No one seemed to lift their finger today when it comes to work because the office workers were simply too focused on the beautiful weather outside and the number of events that take place this weekend.

There were even some folks who tuned into the Chicago Cubbies game via their personal computers and booked their limousine in Chicago early for the next Cubs game. While most city dwellers prefer to use public transportation, there are a lot who are willing to dish out a premium amount for their favorite Chicago baseball team.

The love that this city has for baseball is shocking. I am perplexed as to how many people will miss work, risk losing their jobs, and even skip out on valuable vacation days just to see their favorite team play. And who can blame them? The Chicago Cubs have been this city’s pride for over one hundred years. It’s indoctrinated into our culture. Chicago constantly visits Wrigley Field, gets married at baseball games, even bring in their pets to celebrate the cubbies (goat incident!).

And so the baseball season begins. The Cubs vs. White Sox rivalry will once again emerge as the dominant topic of Chicago office and bar conversations. Chicago Limo will also offer incredible rates and deals via Yelp, Online Bookings, Bekko, and Yellow Pages in support of dominant Chicago Sports teams.
